I have researched into the Ministry Of Sound Background and found that their logo is inspired by The Crown Port Cullis and Chains, which is a medieval gate used on the outside of London castles. This image is also on the back of a 1p coin.

Ideas - First Crit

The idea of the Brief is to create an advertising campaign for the Ministry Of Sound and to use any approach as long as the logo is used in a creative way. My first initial idea is to place the logo on London monuments that are round E.G the London Eye and to create a collage using photos either from search engines or my own.

I have so far researched the history of the Ministry of sound first opened in 1991, London which is where my idea came from. The club itself was the first 24 hour club in the UK founded by James Palumbo who is the Chairman. It is now established as the leading brand in dance/trance music and has released their own merchandise including electronic goods, clothing fragrances and vodka.

The Ministry Of Sound releases a number of alums each year as well as DVD's meaning that their look is always changing. They have used a number of advertising techniques such as guerilla, vector and collage and incorporated the logo in a range of interesting ways.

These are a selection of Ministry Of Sound album covers that uses the environment to incorporate the logo. I am drawing thumbnails based on the photos i have taken in London. Some of the picture quality was too dark as i could not get close enough to the London Eye so i will research on a website called Corbis to find images that are clearer.
