I researched the CD template online and drew up a rough template in Illustrator and exported it to Photoshop where i scaled down sections of my poster and placed it on the cover. I then exported that to Indesign and added the text which i gathered from play.com.

This is my final poster inspired by the tutorial below. I collected my images on the search engine Corbis and reflected them on a black background to give the illusion of water. 

I didn't end up using my London Eye photo as i couldn't get close enough for a clear shot and decided i needed it to be as clear as possible. 

The image of the girl dancing was taken from an existing Ministry Of Sound CD album as it suited the image better than the models i researched in fashion magazines. I download some special effects brushes for the background to give it a futuristic look. My next step is to design a CD cover based on this poster.

I came across a website http://robcubbon.com/images/montage-girl.jpg and found a tutorial on how to create this image using layers and the mask tool, which i thought would help with my London cityscape photos. This technique was useful as it teaches how to overlap the background into the foreground and how to experiment with transparency.
